It's easy to get it to play along with the music at the start of the song. I use ableton also and I have found that iZotope Nectar 2 pitch editor works very well to do exactly what you need it to do. Piracy is not tolerated. Little bit of a daft punk feel. Original tutorials are allowed. I think it's not bad, but it works way better to enwtone vocals then to tune instruments.
